Role – Arboricultural Consultant
Location – Essex
Salary - £26 - £30K DOE
Lead Careers are working with a multidisciplinary consultancy in Essex who are looking for the next member of thier team. Their services include Arboriculture, Ecology, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design. Thier Arboricultural teanm comprises of a skilled bunch of chartered and highly qualified Arboricultural Consultants focused on providing services to a wide range of clients.
ARBORICULTURAL CONSULTANT ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the delivery of arboriculture projects

Supporting multi-disciplinary projects
-
Undertaking a variety of Arboricultural surveys, risk assessments, tree management plans, tree mapping (CAD and ArcGIS Pro technology) and community engagement and produce associated reports for submission to Local Planning Authorities and landowners

Liaising with the local planning authorities, planners, architects, and other professionals to inform the planning design process

Supporting the team manager, analysing survey data, writing and checking reports and assisting in the general workload of the arboriculture team
ARBORICULTURAL CONSULTANT KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
-
Membership of the Arboricultural Association
-
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an arboricultural consultancy role

Excellent written communication skills
-
Excellent knowledge and experience of tree surveying techniques and risk/hazard assessment methodologies
-
Good knowledge of the principles of Visual Tree Assessment
-
Strong working knowledge of current planning and environmental legislation
-
Strong organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
-
Strong interpersonal skills and able to work at all levels with colleagues and client
-
Professional Tree Inspection Certificate (VTA) (advantageous)

Flexibility to work away from home on occasions
