Role – Associate Landscape Architect/Planner
Location – Gloucestershire

Our client is a multidisciplinary studio based in Gloucestershire. They currently have an opening for an Associate Landscape Architect with planning experience.  The practice is known for delivering thoughtful, sustainable, and community-focused projects, with a growing reputation in planning and landscape assessment work. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on a senior leadership role within a supportive and collaborative environment.
 
THE ROLE
The Associate Landscape Architect will:
  • Lead on LVIA and landscape planning projects, from initial appraisal through to delivery
  • Manage and review technical reports including LVIAs, TVIAs, and landscape strategies
  • Coordinate and present evidence for planning submissions and public inquiries
  • Support the development of landscape policy and guidance, contributing to best practice in the sector
  • Provide leadership to the landscape team, mentoring colleagues and helping to shape workflows
  • Build strong client relationships and represent the practice at meetings and consultations
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS
The ideal candidate will be:
  • A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) with substantial post-chartership experience.
  • Experienced in LVIA, TVIA, and landscape planning work with a solid understanding of relevant guidance and policy
  • Skilled at preparing high-quality written reports as well as delivering clear, evidence-based advice
  • Confident in project leadership and managing client relationships
  • Proficient in industry tools such as GIS, AutoCAD/Vectorworks, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • An effective mentor, keen to support the growth and development of junior colleagues
