Role – Associate Landscape Architect
Location – Manchester
Salary - £DOE
We are working with an established landscape consultancy in Manchester that is looking for an Associate Landscape Planner to join its growing team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Landscape Planner who enjoys working on a variety of projects and is ready to take on more responsibility. You'll be involved in everything from delivering landscape and visual assessments through to managing projects, working directly with clients and helping develop the wider team.
The practice offers a friendly, collaborative working environment, with the opportunity to work on interesting projects across residential, commercial, renewable energy and infrastructure developments.
THE ROLE
- Lead and manage Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)
- Prepare Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVA) and supporting planning documentation
- Undertake site assessments and provide landscape planning advice
- Manage projects from initial feasibility through to planning submission
- Work closely with clients, planning consultants and other environmental specialists
- Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets and programmes
- Review technical reports and ensure work is delivered to a high standard
- Support and mentor junior members of the team
- Help develop existing client relationships and identify new opportunities
ASSOCIATE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS
- An experienced Landscape Planner, ideally Chartered (CMLI)
- Strong experience preparing and managing LVIA and LVA reports
- A good understanding of landscape planning policy and the UK planning system
- Experience across a range of development sectors
- Confident managing projects and communicating directly with clients
- Good report writing and technical skills
- Someone comfortable taking responsibility for projects while remaining hands on with delivery
