Role –Consultant Landscape Architect/Planner

Our client is a well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy with 14 offices across the UK. They provide strategic and creative services in planning, design, land, and property, working alongside clients to deliver efficient, sustainable, and well-designed solutions.
They are looking for a Consultant Landscape Architect/Planner with a strong background in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA). In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality landscape planning services across a range of sectors including residential, infrastructure, and commercial developments. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, professional insight, and a collaborative approach to ensure landscape considerations are integrated seamlessly into the planning process.
WHAT YOU´LL BE DOING
- Undertaking and coordinating Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) as part of planning applications and environmental statements
- Preparing clear and robust LVIA reports
- Liaising with planners, clients, and environmental specialists
- Conducting site visits and fieldwork
- Providing consultancy advice at all stages of the planning process, from early design to post-submission support
- Overseeing the preparation of visual material, including ZTVs, wireframes, photomontages, and 3D visualisations
- Contributing to fee proposals, project programming, and client communication as required
QUALIFICATION AND KEY SKILLS
- Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline
- Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or on the P2C
- Proven experience in delivering LVIAs and associated landscape planning work
- Strong working knowledge of GLVIA guidelines, planning policy, and environmental legislation
- Proficient in relevant software: AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, and 3D visualisation tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or as part of a wider team, with good time management and organisational skills
