
Role – Landscape Planner
Location – Edinburgh

Lead Careers are working with an established, award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy that is looking to appoint Landscape Architects and Landscape Planners with experience or a strong interest in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA).
Based in Edinburgh, this is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded team working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK.
The consultancy is involved in a broad range of sectors, including renewable energy, major infrastructure, residential development, urban regeneration and strategic planning. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their technical expertise while contributing to projects that shape both the built and natural environment.
LANDSCAPE PLANNER ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing landscape and visual assessments
- Undertaking site surveys and landscape appraisals
- Supporting renewable energy, residential and infrastructure projects
- Producing technical reports for planning applications
- Identifying landscape constraints and mitigation measures
- Providing landscape planning and design advice
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams
- Managing projects and client relationships
- Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
LANDSCAPE PLANNER KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in Landscape Architecture
- Previous involvement in LVIA or landscape planning projects
- Good knowledge of UK planning and development processes
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- An organised approach to managing workloads and deadlines
- A full UK driving licence
