Role – Principal Ecologist
Location – Bedfordshire
Salary – £45 - £55K DOE
Lead Careers are looking for a Principal Ecologist for a multidisciplinary consultancy based in Bedfordshire. While this is a great opportunity for someone already at principal level, they will also consider a senior looking for a step up to principal level.
They employ a great bunch of people including ecologists, Landscape Architects and Environmental Consultant who work on projects varying in scale in the residential, commercial, transport and education sectors.
PRINCIPAL ECOLOGIST KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in Ecology or a closely related subject
- Full membership of CIEEM
- Proven experience in undertaking Ecological Impact Assessments
- A Bat Licence and at least 1 other protected species licence
- Experienced with Ecological Impact Assessment (including Preliminary Environmental Assessment and EcIA)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work independently
- A full & clean driving licence is essential
