Role – Senior Landscape Architect

Location – Manchester

Our client, an established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Senior Landscape Architect to join its growing team in Manchester. The practice works across landscape architecture, urban design, ecology, arboriculture and landscape planning, delivering projects throughout the UK across sectors including residential, education, healthcare, heritage, commercial and public realm.

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking projects from early concept stages through planning, technical delivery and on site implementation. The successful candidate would be involved in leading and managing projects, producing high quality design work, supporting junior team members and working closely with clients, consultants and local authorities.

The role would suit someone confident working across all project stages who enjoys being part of a collaborative studio environment. They are looking for somebody who can take ownership of projects, contribute ideas and help maintain strong client relationships across a varied workload.

Project work includes large scale urban and rural developments, public realm, regeneration, mixed use, education and green infrastructure schemes.

SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading landscape architecture projects through all work stages
  • Preparing concept designs, landscape strategies and detailed packages
  • Producing planning and technical drawing information
  • Attending client meetings and site visits
  • Supporting and mentoring junior staff
  • Coordinating with internal ecology, arboriculture and planning teams
  • Assisting with project management, programmes and delivery

 

SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY SKILLS

  • Degree in landscape architecture
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership
  • Strong landscape design and technical delivery experience
  • Good knowledge of planning and construction stages
  • Experience managing projects and liaising with clients
  • Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong graphic, written and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp
