Role – Senior Town Planner
Location – Greater Manchester
Salary - £30 - £45K DOE
Fancy working in Greater Manchester in a role as a Senior Town Planner for an Award-Winning practice?
 
Lead Careers are working with a Manchester based multi-disciplinary consultancy who are looking to add to their extremely busy Planning team. As a Senior Planner, you will be working closely with Associates, Directors and a full team of Planners and Landscape Architects who work on major projects across several sectors including the residential, commercial, mixed-use, student accommodation and more, and include some of the most high-profile projects in the UK.
As a Senior Town Planner, you will be a chartered member of the RTPI or working towards chartership and have experience in working on projects in a variety of areas. You will need to have a solid understanding of the UK planning system with a focus and strong communications skills are vital.
SENIOR PLANNER KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification.
  • RTPI Chartered or plans to pursue the APC.
  • Demonstratable previous experience in a planning role, in either the public or private sector.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be client facing.

IMPORTANT NOTE.
The responsibilities within this role are centred around the preparation of planning applications, site promotions and appeals along with advising on the development potential of land and buildings. This is not to be confused with Project Planning/Financial Planning/Transport Planning/Supply Planning. Only applicants with a degree in Town Planning and/or experience carrying out these tasks and affiliation to the Royal Town Planning Institute will be considered.
