Role – Senior Ecologist
Salary – £38 -£45K DOE
Location – Surrey
A well-established environmental consultancy is looking to bring in a Principal Ecologist to support its growing ecology team across the UK.
This is a chance to join an employee-owned business working on a huge variety of projects, from local developments through to major infrastructure and nationally significant schemes. The company works across terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments, so no two projects really look the same.
They’re looking for someone who enjoys the mix of technical ecology, project management and client interaction, but who also likes being part of a genuinely collaborative team. The role will involve helping deliver surveys, impact assessments, mitigation strategies and biodiversity net gain work, while also supporting junior ecologists and helping projects move smoothly through planning.
The business has specialist teams covering ecology, arboriculture, GIS, habitat management, marine ecology, climate change and water consultancy, meaning there’s loads of opportunity to work closely with people across different environmental disciplines.
The role could suit an experienced Senior Ecologist ready to step up, or an existing Principal looking for a better mix of projects, flexibility and team culture.
